Orientering om ibrugtagning af patientkort til multipel sklerose patienter i B-celle-depleterende behandling
Dansk Multipel Sklerose Gruppe (DMSG) ønsker hermed at orientere om ibrugtagning af vedhæftede patientkort målrettet sundhedspersoner, som møder patienter med multipel sklerose i behandling med B-celle-depleterende præparater.

Initiativet til patientkortet er taget på baggrund af en tiltagende hyppighed af sjældne og atypiske bivirkninger hos denne patientgruppe (i Danmark er der ca. 4500 multipel sklerose patienter i behandling med B-celle-depleterende behandlinger). Der er herudover gjort flere erfaringer med betydelig forsinkelse i diagnostik og behandling, blandt andet som følge af atypisk klinisk præsentation.
Patientkortet har til formål at understøtte tidligere genkendelse og korrekt håndtering af potentielt alvorlige komplikationer – også uden for neurologisk regi. Kortet fremhæver særligt:
- Øget risiko for bakterielle, virale og svampeinfektioner samt late-onset neutropeni
- Forekomst af atypiske infektioner, herunder neoehrlichiose, atypisk borreliose samt langvarige virusinfektioner
- At antistofbaseret diagnostik ofte er falsk negativ, og at PCR-baseret diagnostik ofte bør overvejes
- Forekomst af slimhindeinflammation (fx colitis, cystitis, konjunktivitis), som kan være behandlingsrelateret
- Særlige behandlingsmæssige overvejelser ved udvalgte infektioner (fx doxycyklin, antiviral behandling, IVIG)
Patientkortet er udarbejdet i regi af DMSG og har været kommenteret af speciallæger i infektionsmedicin samt repræsentanter fra patientforening.
